Tech Coordinator's Job Description
- Provide instructional support and guidance for the integration of technology into all classrooms
- Coordinate technology-related training programs for instructional staff
- Integration of technology into classroom learning
- Strategies to support Student Learning Improvement Plans
- Educational application of appropriate computer programs or resources
- Other topics as identified by a building needs assessment
- Communicate information about outside training opportunities
- Keep personal technological knowledge and skills current
- Evaluation and selection of software and hardware
- Protect the integrity and security of the OSDNet resources within the building
- Support district policies related to technology use including "Acceptable Use Procedures "
- Attend Technology Coordinator meetings
- Communicate with school’s Technology Advisory Committee representative
- Inform school staff and administration of district technology developments and policies
- Participate in district level technology forums
- Support the implementation of the district’s long-range Technology Plan
- Assist in the evaluation of new forms of technology
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of the school’s Web site
- Distribute pertinent technology related information to staff
- Coordinate and/or participate in building level technology planning committee
