Initial Voicemail Set-Up
Your Voicemail Box Number is the same as your 4-Digit Extension Number. In order to begin using the Voicemail system, you must first “initialize” your Voicemail box. Please follow the steps below.
Log into the Voicemail System:
- Dial 3333
- Enter the “temporary” password (your 4-digit extension number) and then press pound (#).
- Enter a new password (4 to 16 digits in length) and then press pound (#). Do not use consecutive or repetitive digits; i.e., 1234, 2222, etc.
- Record/Speak your First and Last Name and your Extension Number and then press the pound (#) key. To re-record, press the star (*) key and follow verbal prompts.
Record Your Personal Mailbox Greeting*:
- Press 2 for Personal Greeting.
- Press 2 to Record your Greeting. When finished recording, press the pound (#) key.
- Press the pound (#) key to accept your greeting, or:
- Press 1 to listen to your greeting
- Press star (*) key to re-record your greeting.
- Press the star (*) key to log out of Voicemail.
The initialization process is complete.
- * Sample Greeting:
- "Hello. This is (your name) at (school name). I am in the office today but unable to take your call. Please leave a detailed message and I will return your call as soon as possible. If you wish to speak with the office, please dial "0' now. Thank you for calling."
Voicemail System Parameters:
- Maximum Greeting Length: 5 Minutes
- Maximum Message Length: 3 Minutes
- Maximum Number of Messages/Box: 20 Messages
- Length of Time Message Saved: 30 Days
